This is my repository for possibly useful or interesting articles, tips, tricks, apps and etc. for Android. Most are just going to be links to more dedicated blogs, just my picks for the 'good bits'. This is an upgrade from my informal emailing list for Android stuff. If you would like to receive updates by email, just enter your address in the box at the bottom of the page.

This app has an interesting premise - use your GPS to capture points into a DXF file for use in CAD. Probably not accurate enough to be tremendously useful, but interesting anyway.
Google Docs Brings Native App with Editing, Optical Character Recognition to Android
Google Docs Brings Native App with Editing, Optical Character Recognition to Android: "Today, Google released a native app for Android devices that makes it easy to create, edit, and upload documents on-the-go.... Undoubtedly the coolest feature, though, is the ability to take a picture of a hard paper document and convert it to Google Docs format. By creating a new "Document from Photo", Docs will filter the picture through its optical character recognition system to turn the image into a fully editable document. "
This is one I've been wanting for quite a while. About time.

I looked up for remote desktop access clients for android, and found the following all seemed promising. I have installed 2X Client and it works pretty nicely to connect to my office desktop; the other ones promise better speed or interface, but I see no need to pay when the free app works fine. Recommended.
